"Nerissa Donovan" (Sophia Bush)
Quite literally the hardest casting choice I had to do for this series,
save for Dante. The difference was, I didn't know exactly what I wanted her to look like: More a person you could see being
evil or a person you could see being nice... I couldn't choose. I think I went as far in my desperation as considering Natalie
Portman, who in my opinion, was very far off the character. I had trouble settling on Sophia because I have never seen her
on screen, and I still have not to this day. But I cast mostly by the eyes, and hers told me something. I don't know
what, but it was Nerissa speaking. I compared her beside the comic's picture of Nerissa, and that was it for me.

"Cassidy Englebert" (Thora Birch)
This girl was a inspired choice. Cassidy proved to be tough to cast, but Thora won me over int he end.
She's got Cassidy's cute cheeks, lovely dreamer blue eyes, and perfect hair. Plus, she could look serious when she wants to
be as well.

"Kadma Alia" (Adriana Lima)
This girl had Kadma written all over her. With the superior attitude, the haughty way about her, and yet
a bit of sophistication and class rolled in there too. This is not a girl to sell herself short, but is wise and knows exactly
who she is. She doesn't seem like a person who will stand for nonsense.

"Ashlee" (Trent Ford)
I fell in love with Trent after I saw him in a magazine a few years back, and he stuck with me ever since.
I thought he would be good as Ash because he's not someone you would see as the warrior full-time, but also as a person who
can care and love. When you see him photographed, you can immediately sense that leaderly quality in him. At least, I definitely
could...

"Sydrin" (Toby Hemingway)
I chose Toby after I watched the only movie he has ever done. I looked at his finely chiseled face, and
thought that he looked like the perfect choice for Sydrin. His features are very smooth, very cat-like qualities evident.
Also, the way he was portrayed in the movie gave a very subtle but strong screen presence.

"Tred" (Drake Bell)
Though this boy usually does comedy, I felt he looks the part to the T.
